The need for FR360

FRNSW was using a combination of printed newsletters, their Intranet and email systems to distribute and receive information from an excess of 14,000 staff across the organization, including nearly 7,000 firefighters, nearly 6,000 Community and Volunteer firefighters (CFU members), over 400 administrative and trades staff and 1,200 retired firefighters. While administrative staff have personal access to a computer, firefighters only have shared access to approximately 693 computers across NSW. This is a significant challenge in relaying timely and relevant information to firefighting staff.

Secure, rapid & designed for emergency services

As experiences become increasingly mobile, FRNSW partnered with Ogilvy to develop a mobile app solution; FR360, providing firefighters with access to new content and timely information. The mobile experience helps firefighters find, explore and access contextually relevant content in one place. Featuring immersive blogs, articles, podcasts and live streaming capabilities, the app also features a unified bi-directional publishing workflow. This enabled not only corporate communication teams with the ability to publish articles, it also opened the co-creation process to the organisation at scale. FR360 launched in June 2019.
