Ogilvy Again Named A Leader In Gartner's Magic Quadrant For Global Marketing Agencies

SYDNEY, April 2, 2020 – The Ogilvy Group has been named a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies report for the fifth consecutive year.

Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company, evaluates vendors based on 15 evaluation criteria, most notably related to strategic services such as business strategy and digital business transformation skills.

“We believe Ogilvy’s continued recognition in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies report is a true testament to Ogilvy’s commitment of bringing together the full power of brand, creative and technology to create more value for our clients,” said Carla Hendra, Chief Digital Officer, The Ogilvy Group.

David Fox, CEO Ogilvy Australia added: "This is great news for Ogilvy and its people and is true recognition of the culture changing campaigns we continue to create for clients across the globe.

"Never has it been more important for clients and agencies to work even more closely together than it is now," he continued.  "Together we need to be bold; we need to think and create different shaped Ideas for our clients, so we continue to build cohesive brands across the splintered media landscape. I am proud that Ogilvy's global community has been recognised by Gartner for the fifth year running," Fox concluded.

As described by Gartner, “Leaders possess deep, broad capabilities across all competencies, most notably related to strategic services (which include business strategy and digital business transformation skills). Leaders implement comprehensive, effective solutions that leverage sizable investments in creative talent and marketing technology. They invest their own R&D dollars to set market direction. As a result, Leaders are the providers to watch in the ongoing evolution and transformation of marketing in a digital world.

Leaders maintain a viable business, regardless of the global economy. Leaders extend their client relationships far beyond marketing promotions, often appearing on competitive bids outside their primary sector (for example, management consulting, product ideation and product development requests for quotations). Leaders help their clients develop digital marketing platforms designed for systemic growth and scale; they do so by harnessing their own significant expertise implementing digital marketing programs driven by data and analytics.”

In 2019, Ogilvy expanded its MIT CISR (Centre for Information Systems Research) patronage to a global level, providing the agency a unique opportunity in Digital Transformation. Through this patronage, Ogilvy and its clients gain access to winning strategies, innovation, primary academic research, thought leadership, benchmarking and IP within business and digital transformation. Additionally, the Ogilvy MarTech CoE (Center of Excellence) continues to flourish and develop talent and expertise with stronger alignment across the tech partnership ecosystem with Adobe, Salesforce, Acquia, Sitecore, Branch and Braze.
